I just noticed, and don't ask me why i just now noticed this, but wouldn't the top mount intercooler be better over all. Especially for drag. If you don't follow, you'll notice that there is only half a foot from the turbo to the intercooler, and another half a foot from the intercooler to the intake manifold. That means LOTS less turbo lag. So, wouldn't your gains (at normal psi) be the same from putting all the piping and weight into the front mount intercooler be the same as leaving your top mount, with the at max, foot of piping??????

Uhm, thats not true. While adding 6 feet of piping does in fact add a little bit of lag, it's much less than half a second and the more efficient, larger FMICs make up for it and then out do it. FMICs just cool better |
