how much did any of you pay for your GT alloys?
i'm not looking for aftermarket 17's/18's, they are way too expensive, and heavy. i'm looking for something better than hubcaps, that is fairly light on the wallet & the scale. anyone know how much they weigh? the lighter the better, in my opinion. you might drop by New Celicas and check the Buy/Sell forum. I picked up a set of 2000+ OEM GT alloys for around $250 shipped. I think they look better than the GT alloys.
I am not sure about the 6th gen alloys weight, but the 7th gens tip the scales at about 15lbs, iirc. Also of note is the fact tha they are a half an inch thinner (15X6.5 as opposed to the 15x7s) . That said, the stock steelies are 15x6.5 on the 6th gens, so it isn't going to cause any problems by going to the thiner wheel, and I would bet dollar to doughnuts that the 7th gens weight a few pounds less per corner. |
