I just noticed, and don't ask me why i just now noticed this, but wouldn't the top mount intercooler be better over all. Especially for drag. If you don't follow, you'll notice that there is only half a foot from the turbo to the intercooler, and another half a foot from the intercooler to the intake manifold. That means LOTS less turbo lag. So, wouldn't your gains (at normal psi) be the same from putting all the piping and weight into the front mount intercooler be the same as leaving your top mount, with the at max, foot of piping??????

RE: Thread hi-jack.
I usually run mine at 12psi, but i've noticed that at times boost does increase all of a sudden. I dont have boost cut on mine, so that's probably why it's able to boost that high sometimes. But i'm still not exactly sure why it does that when i'm not messing with the settings on the boost controller. Maybe the motor's giving me a sign to upgrade the turbo already. 0_o |
