i am going to start my next project this weekend ,hopefully if the bumper is half way done. what i want to know is there anyone on this site that has used or is familar with Carbon Fiber Cloth

I found pushing and pulling the strands so it actually looks good to be difficult. I'm only attempting layovers for looks so obviously its really important that the carbon looks nice underneath the resin/clearcoat. basically I messed up the first couple attempts, not anything worth posting pictures of, maybe I'll try again this weekend.

honestly tho I don't think a splitter will be too bad. just make a fiberglass piece and do one layer of carbon on top. be sure to experiment with the cloth on some smaller pieces first tho.
