Well, as some of you may know I as well am trying the 4agze swap. The other day my father and I succesfully managed to pull the 7afe and got the engine bay cleaned out a bit.
In the next week or two I'll be prepping the gze to be dropped into the celica. Right now I'm basically just replacing all the essentials (belts, water pump spark plugs) etc. Also giving it some good ole fashioned elbow grease and cleaning her up a bit. We hope to have it in sometime in the next 2 weeks. I'm not even gonna say anything about how soon it 'could' be running, as that never works w/ swaps anyway. But the engine should be in and mounted within the next 2 weeks or so. Looking at the mounts today i realized why i was having some problems w/ vibration before, one of the mounts seems to have been ripped pretty badly, and will need to be replaced. In fact both the front and rear mount are looking kind of shotty to me, and I think I will replace them both, does anyone have any idea where i can get these replaced? And if it really matters w/ the AT mounts vs the MT mounts? Comparing the AT mounts on the 7afe, and the MT mounts on the 4agze I am thinking they are close enough that i can still use them, but any input would be appreciated. Heres a pic of the front motor mount that is pretty well shot, you cant see how bad it really is, but that gives you a general idea i think....
