I am planning on lowering my celica as soon as I can get the money. But I was wondering if there are any problems with lowering my car that I may not be aware of. I just want to make sure it will still be drivable, for example..
am i gonna have problems with speed bumps? steep driveways? deep road puddles? etc.... -------------------- ~Daniel~ No Longer Celica Owner.. moved on to a 03 WRX-EJ207

I have TRD springs and have had no problems with speed bumps or scraping. A performance spring like the TRD or prokit is not going to give as much as the stock spring. Therefore, your car is not going to rub the tires or pavement UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES. Some lowering springs are designed more for looks than ride, however.
P.S. The TRD springs lower the car over 1.75 inches despite the fact that TRD says 1 to 1.5. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
