since yesterday my car has been making this weird noise. Its an automatic ST with 63k miles. The sound comes from the front driver side area..
it makes this noise when i'm pushing the car and even when i'm rolling. The driver side cv axle was replaced about a year ago. I'm not sure if its the axle or the tranny. Anyone have any ideas? it also pops too.. like when i give it gas and then i hit the brakes firmly. or when i come from a complete stop and start to accelerate it will pop also.. anyone selling an ST tranny in cali? does anyone know how hard it is to pull out the tran? could it be the hub bearing? i think i figured out the problem.. I was thinking back when it started to make these noises and i discovered what i did wrong. I was coming home from school and i was going 30 mph on a-round-about and taking the turns hard. What i didn't know was how bumby and crapply built the road was. So when i made my final turn the front right tire started to skip because the road was uneven and that is when the hub bearing started to go out.
