biggrin.gif How important is cleaning the fuel injector? I saw a place that cleans them for 40 dollars and I know STP has that stuff you put in it to clean it...anybody have any input?? Thanks

You might get a slight performance increase, but I don't think 93 octane in the end will make any difference in the life of your engine, most gasolines have detergents added. What I try and avoid are gasolines with methanol added (corn byproduct). That stuff in my opinion will gum up an engine, though it reduces emmissions. I like to use valvoline SynPower line of fuel injector and fuel system cleaner but its wa more expensive compared to penzoil's prodcuts.

If you buy 93 for performance, yes ur wasting ur money, but it does help keep the engine "extra" healthy. It helps prevent knock, and the engine will burn cleaner and more efficiently off of it, but keep in mind our ECUs were designed for 87.
