Since my celica is in a shop being done on I shared rides with my buddy with a 97 Prelude today to friends party and all. First thing i noticed was the lack of back space and its small trunk but that's cool. Now, I've beaten this car silly when we money raced when i had my other car. As time went by, people were later chillin outside. Started talkin about cars and be checking out eachothers rides. Being quiet as i am whenever these topic are stirred I thought about the Celica.
I was told that the prelude handles really well and it is fast. So what do you guys think handles better? I' didn't have the chance to test-drive it yet. haha. Oh they also have this shift-kit which is pretty neat, strange enough..my friend doesn't even use it? wierd. Prelude: 195hp @ 7000 rpm / 156tq @ 5250 rpm / 15.4s(1/4 mile) Shoot if it runs 15.4s stock than I must've ran mid-high 13's at least that time. You guys know what? Many people says my car is slow:) But you guys know what? I've been doing private races more than public races, and suprisingly these fools can't keep their shame but to hide it with false lies. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Well the 205 is another monster all together but im saying the ss-III vs all of the afore mentioned cars. The 3sge engine has to be the crowning achievement in toyota enginering. This engine in it naturall aspirated form 3 gen can hang stock per stock with the GSR B18 and in 97 when the vvti system was added to it....type r b18 at 195 and only 130lbs, the beams 3sge hits with 197 and 152lbs of torque. And this is in a car that still has all the creature comforts like ac, crusie, stereo, yadda yadda yadda. The Type r is a car ment to handle and go fast only....the ss-III is a car that can handle and go fast, but is a pleasure to drive daily....I wish i had vvti ![]() |
