I like classic rock, jazz and classical music. I want to improve sound quality in the convertible and I want to spend no more than $400. I already have a very nice aftermarket head unit. It is the DXZ645MP from Clarion. Here is a link:
Clarion Head Unit I don't need big bass. I also do not want big enclosures that take up my entire trunk. What should I spend the money on? -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

Yeah, leave the rear hooked up to the stock amp, replace your big speakers in the doors with the 6.5" driver from the component set, replace the tweeters in the triangle panels with the ones from the component set(if they fit...if not you'll need to mount them elsewhere and unhook the stock tweeters) and remove the 4" speakers. And you bring up a good point BEEFSTEW...the Shiva does take a fairly large box. An IDQ might be a better choice given the space constraints you're dealing with. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
