I just noticed, and don't ask me why i just now noticed this, but wouldn't the top mount intercooler be better over all. Especially for drag. If you don't follow, you'll notice that there is only half a foot from the turbo to the intercooler, and another half a foot from the intercooler to the intake manifold. That means LOTS less turbo lag. So, wouldn't your gains (at normal psi) be the same from putting all the piping and weight into the front mount intercooler be the same as leaving your top mount, with the at max, foot of piping??????

Most guys I see that have the 3s motor run a stupid amount of piping not thinking of the shortest rout will make the most power! On my ct26 I shaved off the spots were the turbo mounts and turned the turbo housing almost 180 degrees to the rad.and I moved the actuator2 spots so it sits in the same place in the car but the turbo faces forward instead of up towards the tmic. Now I only have a 90 bend into a 180 bend into the intercooler and it comes out of th ic and does a 90 bend to a 45 up to a 90 and staight to my intake. The quickest way to cool the air the better. The less the bends the better!!!I also used a 2.5 in into my intake and from the turbo into the fmic I used 2in.Much more pressure, more horse!!!3 in into the turbo with a rubber reducer to 2.5.
