I am gettin some kind of clunking noise from my passanger side rear brake assembly. it comes and goes but if I push down the break pedal I get a quick clunking noise. It doesn't seem to make a difference if I am moving or not. I am also gettin a little bit of break release noise.

I have these parts installed:

russel stainless steel brake lines
Brembo cross/slotted rotors
CF composit brake pads

I have checked out the brakes now 3 times and I can't seem to find anything wrong with it. I have removed the calipar and inspected EVERYTHING and cleaned it all up and reapplied the silicone brake grease. I have aslo checked the swaybar so I know that not it either.

So if neone has ne ideas of what I might have wrong - PLEASE LET ME KNOW

thanks

did you make sure that the brake brackets are in place...the pad might be sliding around

that was the 1st thing I thought and checked it and there okay

Had a friend check it out yesterday.. he had a similar prob in his 99 SI, after he installed his lowering springs, he said his prob was that the 3 upper strut bolts (strut tower) had come loose. I checked these by hand yesterday and they seemed like they might of worked themselves a little loose but wasn't able to tighten them down with nething... will try this weekend and see.. if that the prob I'll let you guys know tongue.gif
