hey wats goin on?? i just purchased a 1995 celica gt less than a week ago so i'm kinda new here. my friend asked me if he could test out my car and i let my friend drive it around. he pushed the car like it was his own(rx7) and now something in the shifter assembly is messed up. (ex. somethimes if you try to shift it into the lower gears(2nd, 4th and r) it wont engage and you end up just reving). so my other friend and i try to see wat the problem is and i just end up buying a new quickshifter from trd to hopefully solve the problem. but i need to take out the center console and i cant take out the side panels(the left and right panels connected to the center console) and i was wondering if anybody could help me out!! i'm getting the quickshifter in 2morrow so i need replys asap! thanx alot!!

Incorrect. See this: Installation of TRD Quickshifter Also, I recommend cutting the plastic piece that Coomer mentioned despite the comments to the article. I did and there were no adverse affects. If you don't, good luck getting the older shifter assembly out. The knee panels have two screws each and they are near the carpet. The amp does not have to be removed for this mod.
