I keep seeing stuff about octance boosters, as an easy thing to increase hp. i noticed a diffence when i switched from low grade gas to premium gas. most of the octance boosters say they will bost octance from 3-4 pts. Nos makes one that says it will bost 10 pts, but it also says "acts as a lead substitute" and thats no good . but in short, do these boosters work?

if you're struggling with pinging with premium grade fuel (91-92 octane or whatever it is where you're from)... then it may work to correct that... as for performance... it has to do with your compression ratio and your engine's flow (intake/exhaust) whether or not you can make any sort of power. On a stock motor... no serious power gains...
