So I have a Blaupunkt Amplifier bridged to power a single 10" Polk MOMO subwoofer, and I've noticed that for a bridged-power RMS rating of around 380 watts, it just doesnt seem all that loud.
I'm pretty sure that its a power problem of some kind, because I'm supplying the amp with my headunits full 6 volt output power, and everything is EQ'd perfectly and installed poperly....Its just that the amp output tends to vary quite a bit from time to time, so it will be nice and powerful one minute, then not nearly as powerful as it should be the next. Could it be a low battery voltage, bad RCA signal...?? Just tell me if any of you have had the same problem before ,because its been like this on and off for a while now. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |

The woofer has plenty of headroom....it will sound powerful one minute, then the volume will drop off considerably even when I go back to the same point in the same song for reference. Or sometimes on e day the bass will be nice and strong then the next day its noticably weaker (other people have noticed this, so its not just me. )
I just hear guys saying that they have 200 watt amps that hit really hard and my amp is rated at like 380 watts x 1 bridged RMS @ 4ohms.....so I dunno. Im kinda leaning toward my battery being a little old and not supplying enough voltage. I just wanted to see if anybody else experienced a problem where their amp was kinda weak and then replaced their battery with a Optima or something with a better voltage output and experienced a more powerful, consistant sound.
