![]() ![]() Those images are pretty big, might be hard to see. Anyway the first page is the quote, the second page is the automobile inspection report. The first page shows the breakdown and fees, type of car, mileage. It also shows that special equipment is included in this policy. The total is $2809 for 6 months of coverage. Very very very very high. But this guy has a lot dumped into his car. Which brings us to the second page. The agent inspects the car (usually just does a once over and marks all stock). In this case, the dude wants his special equipment covered, so you can see a few marks in the special equipment portion. Thats nothing, there was about 14 pages of receipts from JDM Motorsports for different things from his rims all the way up to his swapped vtec engine. He had to include receipts and pictures of every special equipment, which is what raised his premium so high. Now here's the warning for progressive users. This guy got in an accident. Notice on the first page when it lists the type of vehicle, below the total cost. It says SALAVAGED VEHICLE. The special equipment on this car is worth more than the car itself. -->Progressive will only give you 70% of the car's worth if its salvaged, regardless of anything else. They refuse to give this guy his money EVEN THOUGH he paid all those premiums. Look at the quote again, he's been insured since 6/10/02. Our company is being sued by progressive for making a policy with this client. They said that we shouldn't have put his special equipment under the policy if the vehicle was salvaged. Two things basically, special equipment costs a lot of money to cover and watch out if your car is salvaged. oh yeah and progressive sucks donkey balls. I hope this was helpful as I had to get mission impossible-like to get this information. |
