FINALLY somebody said it and with authority. It really ticks me off when I go to the PR car forums and there's these people trying to make up their mind between a Corolla, a Matrix, a Lancer, etc. and then when they get the car and take it to the track, the bitch that it's slow. HELLO...they are econo-cars. EVEN the performance-oriented ones like the Matrix XR-S, the Corolla XR-S, Lancer Ralli Art, etc. are still slow. They expect to get big numbers out of an intake and exhaust. THEN, there's the other people that are impressed when those cars run 16s, 15s, and 14s. WOW...14 seconds in the quarter mile. Yeah, it's nice that they improved from their 17s and 18s in the quarter mile but still...it's not a fast car...it's just faster than stock. And I'm not saying this because my Supra puts out good power, because I think it's slow too...even though I can go out to the track and pop consistent mid to low 11s. I say it because it's true. If you want something fast, get a fast car. If you can't afford it, don't expect miracles from what you buy. -------------------- |
