So the 3s-gte swap is gonna take more work for my ST? I really want to do this swap and is there any way we can purchase the engine straight from japan?

Dude screw half-cuts or whatever bull they are dealing with and go with http://www.atk-engines.com , ATK
does a special order and in a month or two you get an awesome engine. "3sgte" (6th gen Celica GT-4) is around $ 2,300 (with warranty and free delivery)... For trans you don't want to be dealing with anything else but stock 94-99 Celica GT 5-Speed Manual Transmision (all you need to do is to get a performance clutch)... Edit : Sorry forgot to mention engine mounts... If you are having a shop install the engine don't worry about it since they can make custom ones in less then half an hour and drill couple extra holes in a frame for the extra support!
