ever since i bought this car i have had bad experiences!! well heres another one, the clutch got drastically lighter.
heres the story,(dont ask me why but it happened) i launched out of first at 4krpm. and then i shifted into 2nd and the rpm was still high. anyway i stopped after that and i smelled something burning. i didnt run it for long. i think i "burned my clutch". the clutch itself works fine its just the pressure that was there isnt there anymore. the pedal feels so much lighter and easier to press. wat should i do? -should i replace the clutch? leave it alone? -can i get the pressure back? -how much for a new clutch? (racing and stock prices) and about how much for installation at a shop?? help me out!! |

heh i like the 3 posts to yourself . anyway it kinda depends on what u wanna do, when i needed a new clutch i just got the oem one, because i'm planning on doing a swap eventrully and if i bought an expensive nice clutch it wouldn't bolt up to the new tranny. i paid 200 for the clutch, preasure plate and bearing from toyota. and i think i had a shop do just the work for 350. if you just burned it one good time, i wouldn't worry about it, just live with it. but if your just driving around and it's burning then it's time for a new clutch, if it's smelling alot it will soon start slipping.
