what if you took the late model 3S-GE top end (with VVT-i) and put in on the 3S-GTE?
would you have toyota reliability on a turbo motor with VVT-i? or am i just an idiot and there is an obvious reason it won't work. -------------------- my signature is the coolest.

Later models of the 2JZ did have VVTi. I don't think it ever made it to the USDM supras... but I dunno. If it did, it was in the late model 97+... As for VVTi and VVTLi... it can be as much as 40 hp difference (1zzfe vs. 2zzge). VVTL-i works similar to VTEC and provides variable cam lift and timing... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
