it sounds like a dumb question and i searched the forum.. but how often is smog check for a 94 celica GT in California ?? i checked the DMV website and its all confusing.. haha

That's unusual cause you gotta smog it to transfer the title anyways... but yeah. It's confirmed at 2 years BTW.

As for the 2000+ models, I'm not sure about the very latest emission standards, but 2004 is the first year they're getting smogged. I guess you're correct about the 5 year rule, cause a lot of 2000 models were purchased in 1999.
