Ok, I am gonna get a DR CAI.
There is aluminized steel, and aluminum. I figured aluminum is better, but a friend of mine said it would heat up more than the aluminized steel. BUT, i wonder if the aluminized will rust? Also, has anybody made their own CAI and been hapy with it, and finally, who has a DR CAI, and how do you like it? |

K2 - The way I drive, its ****in Hot! I have pulled over randomly a lot to see how hot my pod filter gets, and its pretty warm
Question - How come none of you have talked about using stainless for the CAI pipe? Looks good - not as hot, it doesn't weigh THAT much... I think it would look way nicer than aluminium or rubber and thats what my aim is, although I haven't figured out where to put the filter yet. I'm thinking below the battery, where there are 2 little vents through the plastic underbody of the car, and also running some sort of funnel/pipe from a gap in the front, onto the filter. Only thing I stress about is hitting a puddle and getting the air filter wet |
