Hey I was just wondering, would it be a good idea to cut or melt my stock GT springs to lower my car? I hear some say its very unreliable and don't do it, but these are people that don't know much about cars so I just have to ask you guys to make sure.

I have sportlines on mine and i love 'em! (dont look at my pics tho they are old) i paid about 200 for them and it dropped a little more than an inch and a half. but yah dont cut your stock springs. with aftermarket springs, they also have a higher spring rate to compensate for the shorter height.
