EGR ... help, um.. yeah..

Digndoug View Member Profile Enthusiast Joined Aug 20, '03 From Annapolis, Md Currently Offline Reputation: 5 (100%)	Ok, so for awhile I have had a check engine light on, an sence I was gunna swap my engine I said screw it.. but the swap never happend, An Its time to fix it, I checked the code an its 71, egr system, So I figured its the egr valve, cause i have 139800 miles .. I went to autozone to pick on up, an they said it was going to be $155, an I was Like WHAT.. I didnt think it was going to be so much. Any one that has replaced it how much have you paid, and from where.. Thanks for any info or help..

which book did you get? haynes, chiltons, etc...

I got the haynes, The main reason I got it, is because it works for both mine and my moms car.. an $15 bucks has already seemed to make it worth it, ya know.. but the thing i really dont like about it, Is its not really direct, Like it shows taking apart like the 4th-5th gen not the 6th, but for me it works cause I only need an idea of what there talking about. but for some-one thats still learning, it might be hard.. and somtimes on the break aprts describing part os the eninge or such, It skips over the 7a-fe .. witch sucks even more for me.. but You can still figure it out.
