Alright everyone. This is my first post and i have some questions to ask. Yesterday was the first time i drove my celica because it had some rear end damage that had to be fixed when i bought it so even though i have had it for a month and a half i only drove it once on the street. I dont know if all celicas are like this but when the rpm's went over about 4000 the car felt extremly weak (its a 99 gt) and i thought it would pull stronger because i owned a 94 st before so i was expecting a noticable difference, but like i said i was dissapointed. I also want to ask anyone with a 99 or maybe a 98 gt to look in your trunk and lift up the carpet, on the left side right behind the seat there should be some wires that go underneath the car through a hole. on my car the peice sticking out of the metal is a plastic peice that looks like a tall U shape and one of the u tubes has wires going in but the other one doesnt have anything atached to it and when i started the car i heard noises coming from the peice so i cheked it out and the empty tube was sucking air in. Is there supposed to be something attached to the tube.

Please respond with any info you might have, thank you

I always tough that my high end tourq was pritty good. I seem to take off rather quick

You are referring to low end torque. The 5sfe does have decent low end.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
