I just went and blew some money on a K&N air pod. It's really made a noticable difference to the car (sound and minor hp), and was dead easy to install! I haven't bought any aluminium/stainless piping yet, so the only thing needed to do this is the 3" filter. (note that the stock air piping is 2.5"). Here are the pictures.
Easy Huh! (the only thing to remember is to insert the air flow meter back into the pipe). |

yel yeah we have autobarn. I am planning on using stainless and couplings like that -saw them in one of the how-tos here on 6gc, sounds like I have a source now thanks. And you're right about the sound - Really nice! Where did you find out it is the GT? I was under the impression they were the JDM cars - doh!
