just like the topic says, i think this would be a very good little thread, just to give some insight for the newbs and dreamers as to what the swappers have done, what they went through, and how it's workin out to this day. feel free to add any info you wish, mainly the car type before, the new motor type, info about your personal swap (as all swaps are NOT created equal), a time frame, general cost, how is the performance, are you happy w/ it, etc... . let's see how big this list can get. .
-John- edit: btw, only post if you are DONE and driving the car. that's what i'm lookin for. -------------------- |

Swap started about a year ago putting together all the peices that i would need. Went on vacation Sept 21, 2004 got to take two weeks off of work. Took about 2 days to pull 5sfe and install 3sgte,ceramic coated valve cover and tpic, clutch, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, igniter, afm, and new axles. Bought a wiring harness from redcelicatrd online (told me it was from a 91 alltrac but the fuse block was from a 94up) so I had to rewire the harness to fit the 91jdm ecu not too hard but needed diagrams for three diiferent years. Took about 2 weeks to rewire ecu, car is runing but wont rev over 4000 so I still have some work to do, but glad to be able to add my name to the list of completed swaps. pics in members rides soon. thanks to DG for putting up with all my e-mails mails, good person to ask if you if you have Questions with good info.
