Yesterday I spent 4 or 5 hours hunched over in the trunk of my coupe putting on layers of dynamat to stop some annoying rattle coming a little bit from the license plate and a little from the upper left rear fender (gas cap area, w/e you want to call it), but after all that work there was little to no change. The rattle is still there, loud as ever, and there is a full layer of dynamat extreme in that area, and 2 layers on a lot of the trunk, including the trunk lid. Has anyone else had this problem? I had it before with the original dynamat but I thought using almost a whole bulk pack of extreme would solve it. Anyone that has gotten their trunk to be near silent when the bass hits please let me know if you had to do anything special in that area, because I'm starting to lose faith in dynamat, and I need to know if I should change to something else before I start work on the interior. And about the interior, does anyone have any tips on removing the roof lining? I haven't started this stage yet, but the rattling I hear on the inside seems to be coming from that area, so I'm going to check that out first. Thanks everyone. |

I have 2 18x32" sheets left outta the bulk pack, so that is an option, but I don't want to take everything out of my trunk again if I don't have to. |
