sooo im goin down the street and this lil ford focus zx3 pulls up next to me... i think oh no not another one. so he revs i rev we go... i had him till he hit 3rd gear and i was just gettin out of second. then he pulled, he had me by a half a car length. but still if that 3rd gear had any power i would have beat him.... so do you guys know of anything at all that can cure this auto problem. besides a 5 speed swap?? PLEASE HELP MY BABY IS TO SLOW... maybe those cars are faster than i thought.

the 1.8L has a powerband?? Umm...not much...Its slow no mater how you look at it... I think the car is just as fast when you drive it normal and drive it to redline
 Just race it to be funny. I got beat by a newer corolla S in my ST 5spd.
