sooo im goin down the street and this lil ford focus zx3 pulls up next to me... i think oh no not another one. so he revs i rev we go... i had him till he hit 3rd gear and i was just gettin out of second. then he pulled, he had me by a half a car length. but still if that 3rd gear had any power i would have beat him.... so do you guys know of anything at all that can cure this auto problem. besides a 5 speed swap?? PLEASE HELP MY BABY IS TO SLOW... maybe those cars are faster than i thought.

What? Like modify the tranny? AUTO trannies are made to be efficient... They're not made for performance. It's got only 4 tall gears... There are no DIY modifications that can be done to improve a tranny, in fact... I don't reccomend trying to even mess with a tranny unless you're skilled and experienced and have all of the right tools... Simple answer... get rid of it. Swap in a manual. C50, C52, C56... 2 different 5 speeds some available with LSD, one 6 speed version w/ or w/o LSD (C56)...
