a 10" sub will give you better response with tight bass. a 12" will give you the same effect with more bass. if you want a single sub and want to save room but be heard id go with a 12". while a 10" might do you just fine, the more surface area the louder the sub will be. pairing two 10"s against one 12"(same sub) the two 10"s will be louder. anyway. brands too look at are JL(w3 or higher), Adire Audio, Resonant Engineering, Kicker(comp vr), Memphis, CDT, Focal, Arc Audio. also when looking at subs or amps, the max power rating doesnt mean anything. look at the rms of a sub. if you have a "1000watt max! sub" and it only handles 250rms and you put a 1000rms amp to it, you will fry the sub. in the end it is all up to you. anyway id look into Adire and Resonant Engineering. smile.gif LaTeR
