Forkee brought up the idea of maybe having a 2005 6GC.net calendar, and I'm thinking of having one made with some awesome photos of peoples' cars from the site.
I'd have to look into costs of getting them produced professionally here, but what do you guys think about it? -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

I'm going to go against the grain here and say the featured rides should not automatically be in the calandar- they've already been featured after all- but what we need are EXTREMELY high res photos; and some of those members aren't really around anymore.
We need them to be 1) Hi res (higher than the hi res upload option on this site- STRAIGHT from the camera so Coom, me, or someone proficient can color correct these things) 2) Scenic 3) Of a variety of years; bodel styles, and colors. Whats wrong with using the featured rides? Frotou's: Has two scenic picts; and his paint doesn't really photograph well. That, and you'd have to consider a construction site with uprooted trees scenic- It's also just a celica without any of the electronic or engine stuff shown (which should not be on a calandar) and that was primarily the reason this car was picked (I think) Tufy's: There's nop reason why this car shouldn't be featured; it's a GT4 (which the entire calandar SHOULD NOT BE) but it looks beautiful; also he's taken a TON of scenic photos with it Turbotone: Obviously could be featured as well; it's also a GT4 (we don't want every picture to be) but it's a different color, diff bodykit; we just need to get hi res picts from him that are scenic (and not taken next to rotting boats) Everyone agree that we should try and keep models off the cars for this calandar? Lets have it just be cars. Bkolher: not my style; but it does look good. However, the pictures taken here just aren't scenic enough to make a final cut imho. The car looks good; but it needs to be in a good PLACE. Soundslut: Beautiful car; needs more scenic photos not taken in a street; which could be a problem; since the car is no longer in this shape? Also, it's an ST (which is good for variety) ka2: Not very scenic at all - it's an SSIII tho, so variety! DG: no scenic pictures at all. Well, one in front of his house on crab grass DG, grab a camera and get clicking ST205: Great, ANOTHER GT4? He's in HK; there should be a ton of scenic spots, but we don't have much to choose from here. Doggy: ... uhh yeah. no problems here AUM CELICA: No scenic picts hi res picts- and since he's not active anymore at all.. good luck getting them mikedodson: Some scenic picts; but they're all cropped- is he active? can we get hi res? The point is; very few of these are car calandar pictures. All of the cars are excellent; but they have yet to be photographed in the best spots (some of them excluded) My point? Don't get hung up on the featured rides suggestion; We'd probably get a better calandar is we opened it up to submissions of the best high quality picts a person can take; you'd be surprised how good a 94 ST can look when photographed in the mountains with a view; get my drift? |
