I noticed that one sub was hitting fine and the other one did nothing, a friend i have that knows all his crap took it apart with me and said it was garbage..wired it to the sub that was working and still got nothing. I sent it back to rockford but the guy that sold it to me told me that the warranty might not even matter...that, it could be my fault therefore voiding it? I've had these things in my car for no more than four months and they are never even turned up loud..what gives? If they don't replace it im gonna raise hell.

I didn't take anything you said personal, i just got Rockford stuff because i heard great stuff about it, and it was good for the price.
Your friend that has the two 12s and the 1001bd probably wired his stuff wrong, which could easily make it blow the subs if you turn it up even remotely loud. The BD is a one channel amp and it wouldn't take much if wired wrong to fry it.. I'm guessing it's supposed to be wired "in line" but i don't know all that much. I know i just keep the Hz and gain down at about halfway because all that bump isn't needed...it is nice to have tho isn't it... |
