Has ne one done this yet?
What I mean is, has any one gotten into the OBD II diagnostic interface of the post '96 celicas. The OBD II gives all kinds of info about the way your car is running but it costs like $200 dollars to buy the adapter/cable/protocol adapter. That money could be used elsewhere. So has any one done this without buying all the stuff needed?

dude, you don't want to do that. if you want to program your ECU, then get a standalone system. i mean, if you do change anything in the ECU, all it will do is lower your gas mileage, and maybe give you like 5 HP. there's nothing you can do to give you like, 25 HP.

i also maintain that ANY ECU upgrade should be your last performance mod. getting full control isn't going to do much on a stock engine.
