well thanks to some dickhead, i need to put in a new window... so im going to pick one up at a junkyard for $40 as soon as they call me back.... i started talking apart my door so when they call me i can just pick it up and put it in... i got off the door panel no problem, but theres still a big piece i need to take off...

Don't know if this will apply to installing the glass on a celi. But when I'm at the Build Center here at GM, the door glass is installed thru the opening between the outer door and the inner sheet metal. You wouldn't take any of the sheet metal you're displaying off. You tilt the front of the glass into that "space/crack", and guide it into place.
You have to tweek and manuver the glass into the glass run channel (that's what that obj. is on the right), once it's aligned in the run channel, move the rear edge into place also, then slide it into place. I'll post a pic, I had to do a summary of when my glass was installed into the Cadillac Escalade. |
