Ok so the Australian car licencing system is like this:
At 16years old you get your "L"s, that means you can only do upto 80km/h and you have to have a full license driver next to you. At 17yrs (and after 50hrs and 6months experience) you can go for your red "P"s, you now need no driver next to you and you can go up to 90. Then at some point (i forget when) you can get your green "P"s, which means you can goto 100. Then after that you can get your full license. I have no problem with this (apart from it takes ages). But now the gov wants to intro a cerfew (10:00pm) to P drivers (i think its only red) and that they can only have one passanger and no "hotted up" cars are allowed. This just pisses me off, i work which usually means i dont get home till after 10. Also i want to get a nice car. Also by some wild chance i have more than one friend. OSIRIS angry!!! OSIRIS SMASH!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by OSIRIS: Nov 30, 2004 - 1:20 AM |

this is what we have in bc, canada. Cant start driving till you are 16
take 1 written test then you get your L for 12 months.... no driving after 12am, fully licensed adult over the age of 25. one passenger, no alcohol in system take a driving test to get your N for 24 months..... no alcohol in system, can only have one friend in car, no limit on family members then you have to take another driving test to get your regular license it sucks, but the system has been proven to work the only downside is how much it costs.... each test is $50 and then $45 for a new license every time a test is passed.... ugh ![]() glad i already completed my driving before this stuff came in ![]() This post has been edited by wind: Nov 30, 2004 - 9:09 PM |
