Okay I used to work at Wheel Works and have a few mechanic friends, so I asked them if I bought aftermarket springs and got them cut just for the inch drop how bad would it be? I got mixed feedback like "it will give you the look you want" and "it will be too bouncy you'll hate it" or "it'll be stiff and you'll feel every bump".

So this is why I am asking you guys, to see what the best thing to do on a limited budget to get that inch or so drop but make the ride decent, also can you guys give me your opinon on these?

If I got those and cut em what else would I need to do to make sure my struts don't go, or other bad things I read when I did a search. Thanks in advance.

Don't cut your springs. If you want something lower than the current lowering springs available(1"-1.7" drops I believe), then just get some good coilovers, like Ground Controls.

About those springs on eBay, I've never heard of anyone using them. They're really cheap though. If you look for a while though, you may be able to find some good proven springs for cheap. I just got some brand new Sprint lowering springs for the '90-'99 Celica for $55 shipped from eBay...they just arrived at my house today and they're going on my '88 Celica GT-S once I find a couple more parts to make them fit. smile.gif
