After looking at pix of 3sgte swamps most ppl have trouble running the pipe to a fmic cus of where the exhaust manifold is.
I was thinking y not just use two rather long but short incoolers. but one on top of the other and run the piping through one and out the other kinda like a but U. This seems like a simple solution to a problem. Ive never seen this dun so there must be a reason y not. Cost? airflow restiction? basically it would look like this (front vew) |----INTERCOOLER1---(outlet to intake manifold) | |----INTERCOOLER2----(inlet from tubo) | and - are piping |

QUOTE(urbandork @ Dec 13, 2004 - 1:51 PM) so ho come no one uses them on thier projects it would seem like it would be easier to run piping? Are they expensive or something? What is more expensive? One intercooler, or two? It's also the fact that the opening on the front of a celica really isn't that large. One long intercooler is the best bet... or you could go water to air and be different. ![]() |
