 Paint Over Woodgrain., Good Idea? |

I curently have a woodgrain kit on the center consol (pics in profile). I want to paint it a red color.
The question is would it be a good idea to paint over it? Maybe use a white or some light color to cover the wood a little then go over it with a few coats (3-4) of red paint from wal-mart. Then final clear coat? Do you guys think the wood grain would show? I don't think so, but I just want to have more opinions. |

i may be interested in trading you, i like the wood grain look.....and im not too far away....unless you started it already, havent had time to read the post....
