I put 10" subs in to the side pannel with a fiber glass box.
There is enought of air space and the box is sealed. However the subs dont sound so good. Basically the sub, not the box, rattels a lot. It sounds as if a peice of paper is moving around. When i put my hand on the face of the sub it muffles it and as of now i have poly fill like stuff making it so the sub wont rattle. I dont think the subs are being over or under powered. they are two 125 rms and 250 peak running on a 350 rms 700w peak amp set up parrell. (neg(sub) to neg(sub) to neg(amp) and pos to pos to pos) i figured that inorder to get how much power the amp needs to be i should be adding the the two subs thus 125+125=250 which is close to the 300 rms of the amp. Or is it that because the subs are set up in parallel that the amp should only put out around 125 rms (matching the power handlage of only one sub?) Is the problem that im running to much power to the sub? or is it something else. perhaps i need more layers of fiber glass? MUCH MUCH thanks in advanced This post has been edited by urbandork: Jan 2, 2005 - 12:56 AM |
