have see 'Fast and Furious' on dvd again yesterday, i know i'm sad ![]() just a question to you guys, can you cut the roof of a celica and form a removable roof section like the supra in the film, i've seen these supras around ! and they where a standard from Toyota... but not a celica spec' i don't know, but i think it could make a smart mod' to a ride !! what do you guy think, and can it be done ???? -------------------- ![]() Life is for living, and you don't get a second chance Take care now !! |

in regards to the removable hardtop, i think i agree with both Commer and Shid. I agree with Commer that the celi vert will easily be able to handle the extra wieght of a hardtop. But agree with Shid that there is a lack of places to properly secure it on. The front on the A frame is no problem, especially if you create a lightened top that is nothing but fiberglass and insulation, those can be secured on to the points where the vert latches to. It will not carry the bulk of the weight. Where it will have the greatest weight is right above the rear seats due to the arch shape and rear window i assume that hard top will have. Probably some sort of arch pillars will have to be made that connect from the floor in rear up to the hard top roof as well as some crafty latches to secure the top to the rear behind where the top goes down.
Its definatly possible with some craftiness... but id never want to autocross with it. -------------------- Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it... |
