It's been a while since I've been on here. (finally sold everything, quit my jobs and moved to the beach in Florida)
I thought it was funny that you thought of a great idea to do a calendar. In fact, I thought it was a good idea in May. Then you used cafepress. Hmm...that sounds familar. Whats this? You marked the calendar up from the base price of $14.99 to $16.99? Is'nt that the same thing you ripped on me about? Of course my markup was to keep the merchandise site paid for, but your merchandise is a free site. (the link below is to the topic in may that I am refering to) I must say shid and coomer, I am a bit dissappointed. CAFEPRESS previous discussion -------------------- |

No tweek, I did want to shell out my own money for it. Unfortunetly my financial situation wouldn't let me. Originally i offered the markup to coomer, but he didn't want it. And you're mispelling hypocrite.
And tweek, we all knew it wasn't my idea, unfortunetly I was the only one who got it off the ground. And for clarification, your idea for the markup was to pay for a useless premium site; my markup was to pay for the cost involved in guaranteeing a quality product to the 6gc community and get it out before xmas- which we did barely. It took "10 times the amount of time it should have taken" because I actually did a nice job. Wading through submissions, weeding, then coomer even wrote a script to allow voting to go through smoothly, then consultation on the voting results. Finally going through all 12 images and making them look the best that they could do with gamut safe printing (while we had no idea what cafepress was using to print them) and then make revisions based on our test print. And btw, you're not the first person to bring this up- but before spouting their mouth off they had the decency to PM me and ask what the markups for; satisfied, they did not post. |
