QUOTE(Ale_lock @ Jan 20, 2005 - 1:19 PM) QUOTE(Kamakiri @ Jan 20, 2005 - 5:21 AM) QUOTE(lagos @ Jan 19, 2005 - 4:50 PM) Chrobis, you NEED a mod chip to run any unsigned code. the harddrive is an upgrade you can do but it wont let u load the media center or hacked games without the chip installed. No need for a mod-chip... there are soft mods.... good stuff. www.xbox-scene.com ^Actually true, downside is that you can't turn off the mod on the xbox so you can't play live, reason why its reccomended to get the chip if you do want to play online. But most of the time for ex: someone has a modded xbox, they can bring theirs over & flash your xbox to be modded w/o the chip installed, one of my friends had his xbox modded like that. Yah.... but you don't need live in your car . |
