I just got off the phone with Sonny from CBB and i got the Vis c-one Hood. For $380 plus shipping so im happy
![]() But will the cf melt? or catch fire? lol im just crazy but my turbo glows red after a trip on the highway... think i should make a nice heat sheild to prevent anyhting just in case? -------------------- |

maybe someone who knows materials better will correct me on this but...
I dont think carbon fiber will melt. If anything at some temperature the carbon will reform into a more stable graphite. But before that happens the resin that bonds the carbon fibers together will break down. Anyway, at the temperatures at which the above might happen, you will also need to worry about your cast iron turbo melting. So i wouldnt worry about it too much as long as they are not touching.
