My engine has over 200K on it and I am going to do a rebuild soon. I ahve a few questions about what I should do. I would like to eventually add a turbo so Im not sure what to actually buy. What kind of rods, pistons, etc... for the best compression. I know that a lower comp is better for boost, but If it takes me a while to add a turbo, will the lower comp be more of a hassle until I add the turbo?

Also, what is the talk of a 3 angle valve job on the head? I have an idea, but Im not exactly sure.

Then theres this link of a rebuild kit Kit Is this a good thing to get?

I have looked this stuff up, but I'm still in the learning stage of going about a turbo set-up. I have read it all on this site and I'm just looking for more helpful information about the engine rebuilding

this is my $.o2

from past experience on rebuilding high milage engines. I would recomend getting a shop to replace the valve stem guilds and get the cyclinder honed. This is probably a good time to get some 4ag(z)e pistions in. ( i dont know much about this so you will have to ask the gods of 6gc aka dmc doggy nik.. just to list a few) From my perspective, droping compression is as simple as getting a thicker head gasket, because there isnt much after market rods and pistions for the 7afe.. ( i know, i know.. i'm gonna get slapped for saying this.) i just got to stur up some thoughts for kwanza (and others) to straighten things out..

it will be interesting reading this post tomarrow... flame away at me guys!!!!! muahahahaha i hope this helps.

btw 3 angle valve job helps increase air flow and creates a better seal on the valve seat.. hope i didnt tell you something you already know. smile.gif
