Hey guys. I talked to a guy this weekend at the World of Wheels show about my Celica. He said that his shop has done a few of the swaps so he knew his stuff when he was tlaking to me...he said he'd do it for 3500 labor if I used stock wiring or 1500 labor if i used a standalone fuel management system instead. Engine will come about 1500 shipped so all in all it's going to be around a 5000 swap. Is that a good price?

Depends on what kind fo system you look into. Can be anywhere from 700 bucks to 1800. I've seen higher but then you're geting into accessories that come with them or whatever. Yeah, stock wiring is hard they said, but they know how to do it. I also suppose they are juding off of prices on that other guy's swap. He tried to do it himself and messed up so they probably had to rip everything out which costs time and put it all back starting from scratch. And yes I'm going witht he manual conversion at the same time I think.
