any advice u guys can give me when i remove the steering wheel with airbags and put in a momo steering wheel ?
i know i have to remove the battery and wait like an hour or so and remove the plug from the main sensor under the armrest but any precautions i should take so later on the passenger side wont blow on me when i start driving with the new steering wheel ?

here is what you do


#1 TAKE the battery OUT of the car not just disconnected
wait for atleast an hour

#2 pop off the bolt covers on the steering wheel
use a star head (no philips) to unbolt the 2 bolts holding in the air bag

remove the plug

now personnaly don't touch that passengerside airbad to get rid of it or what not you have to remove the WHOLE dash
trust me not fun i just did that a week ago its no good
just leave it there and i think you can just leave the master control unit alone and it should not bother the passengerside but you will have a airbag light on
i think there is a way to connect the driver side wires so that it reads like the bag is there? kinda just stwist them together? maybe

The easy way to remove the light would be to remove the bulb from the gauge cluster. Whatever you do, don't go touching airbag wires together...that's not smart at all.
