Hey guys, i have a starting problem with my 1995 Celica GT. Every morning when i start up my car, it will start up and then died out. I would have to stable my rpm for a couple of minutes until my car engine is able to run with my feet off the gas pedal. I don't know what the problem might be, i thought it may be the spark plugs or wires. but i'm not sure. Any helps would be great. Thanks

My cousin had a similar problem recently in his Rav4. Every time he tried to start his car, it would struggle and only sometimes when he pumped his gas pedal would it start up and most of the time it would die shortly after. Thought it was the fuel pump at first or the injectors, but hey, its a Toyota, that stuff almost never happens. Turns out his distributor cap had too much carbon inside and since carbon is a conductor when it attempted to continue to send a charge, it would all get diffused in the cap. Try taking off the distributor cap and sanding it down to get the carbon out, but it'll prob just be easier to buy a new one since they're pretty cheap. Hope it works.
