When I was uninstalling the air filter box, there's this lil plug that you could just pull out. That's the temp sensor right?

What will happen if I forgot to drill a hole on my cold air intake to shove this sensor thru the tube?

Many thanks!

The ecu doesn't rely completely on that sensor to calculate fuel maps... so its effects aren't major. The only time it can adversely affect the ecu, is when the sensor dies or is jumped (like those ebay power chips)...

I see so my temperture gauge whithin my car does not 100 percent rely on that sensor? so then is there another reason why when i am driving my temperature guage goes down to almost the C and when i am stopped for long periods of time it goes up about half way?

The temp gauge in your car is measured from the Coolant Temp Sensor... not the intake air temp sensor.
