I'll be swapping my injectors pretty soon, so been following up on some research.

Question is: 'Can I get to my injectors without removing the valve cover or intake?'

Eventhough I can see the injector wires it doesn't seem like I could, since there isn't a whole lot of room. BOTH the 'Haynes Manual (Celica)' and the BGB (MR2) indicate that the rail can be lifted behind everything.

The only source I've found that states the valve cover needs to be removed is:

i never had to remove mine either it was a pain but you just gotta have patience and lil hands to squeeze into those tights places. i shoulda took a pic of my hand n arm after i did the injectors they were all scratched up but eghh. lil tip. disconnect the fuel line from the fuel filter that way you can pull the whole rail out and clean it up. make sure you put new o rings on the injectors.
